Bernard Langlais Collection
Many of these works were part of the Langlais estate, which was bequeathed to Colby College with the passing of Helen Friend Langlais, the artist’s widow, in 2010. With support from the Kohler Foundation, the Colby Museum has placed examples of Langlais’s work in collections across Maine and helped establish the Langlais Art Preserve—the site of his former home and studio—which is now stewarded by the Georges River Land Trust.
For information on the locations of the artist’s works around the state, visit the Langlais Art Trail.
